A shockingly badly thought out piece of legislation is being rushed through the UK Parliament, that will allow anyone to take, and use for profit ANY illustration or photograph they find on the web unless it's very clearly labelled as being owned by the artist.

"Unless your works are registered or plastered with a watermark, anyone can use your copyrighted work for their own commercial and personal gains provided they have made a small effort to search for the original owner. If no owner can be found, they are free to do with it whatever they want." - Will Nicholls

A Government e-petition has been set up seeking to get a debate in Parliament to remove this idiotic piece of law, and if you're a UK citizen, I urge you to sign it. We're all either artists or fans here, and this legislation is a threat to us all.
