Deviation Actions
At the risk of sounding more like a broken record than usual, it's now been a fortnight since the last Sequential Art Daily Deviation. I guess there could be several reasons for this:
- It might be that no work done here in the sequential narrative form is deemed good enough to receive a DD.
- It might be that there is nobody nominating sequential work for DDs.
- Deviant Art could have a policy against comic book art, and no longer wish to see it on their site.
, the chap responsible for selecting sequential art DDs may be ill - hopefully not that case as he seems a nice bloke.- Aliens/Monsters/Demons/The Government* are deleting sequential art DDs as the appear, so as to make it impossible for us to see them.
Of those I'm afraid we can only influence point #2, so let's keep nominating. Sequential art has been around for literally thousands of years and plays a vital role in many cultures cultural life. From caves in France to the biggest movies of the day, in an unbroken chain.
I really am sorry to be harping on about this, but I'll admit that it has become something of a minor obsession for me. Once again, here are some examples of the terrific comic work that's being published on the site, and it deserves its chance in the DD spotlight:

A Daily Deviation!
My Night Raven colour test piece was awarded a very surprising Daily Deviation today, and I must say I'm delighted!
I worry a lot about colour, and how much I mess things up when I try to use it, so to receive a DD for a piece of my colour experimentation is genuinely thrilling for me.

Firstly, many thanks to ^DrZime (https://www.deviantart.com/drzime) for the Daily Deviation, it's really appreciated! There's so much great work shown here it's a privilege to be counted amongst them.
Secondly, thank you to all those who came by to see / fave the piece and to add me to their Watch lists - I hope that I can do stuff that's worth looking at!
New Series
I'm starting a new series, showing here initially until I find a different host. It's probably going to be the World's Dullest Series, but it's something that interests me.
It's called 'A Day', and I'm planning on telling the story of one day in the life of the protagonist. The format won't change. One landscape panel per 'issue'.
First one is here, more to follow.
